This is the largest and holiest mosques in the world; has 9 towers and has undergone several renovations and building additions. Here lies the Kaaba, the holiest place for Muslims. Each year, more than a million pilgrims come here to perform the pilgrimage. Muslims believe the Kaaba is the first building erected in the earth by the Prophet Adam, Prophet Ibrahim and finally resumed, the Prophet Muhammad.
